From leisurely panoramic walks to family-friendly trails and challenging routes, you’ll find just the right one for your next adventure.

And in between? With the sparkling waters of Reschensee and Lake Haidersee in view, towering peaks right before your eyes and spots where you just want to stop and take it all in.

The views keep coming

The Panoramaweg trail

A gentle climb, family-friendly and, as the name suggests, with some stunning panoramic views: This is the Schöneben–Haideralm mountain trail. Between the mountain stations of the Piz-Schöneben gondola and the Haideralm cable car, you’ll hike with views over the sparkling waters of Reschensee and Haidersee, the Ortler and the Langtauferertal Valley.

The panoramic trail connects Schönebenhütte with Haideralm and can be hiked in either direction. Depending on where you start, the hike takes around two hours to reach the other mountain hut. Along the way, the trail leads through open landscapes, past the Sieben Brunnen, a cluster of springs and a true natural highlight, with sweeping views of Lake Reschen and the surrounding peaks. Once you reach your destination, there’s still time for some refreshment before the cable car takes you back down into the valley.

Fancy going even higher?

Tour suggestions for your hiking days at Reschensee

Always looking for your next climb and keen to gain a few more metres? Then the 2,859-metre Seebodenspitze is just your kind of challenge. Or head towards the main Alpine ridge and immerse yourself in the glacier landscape around the Weißkugelhütte on the Italian-Austrian border.

But things can be more leisurely, too. The cable cars make it easy to access the Schöneben-Haideralm biking and hiking area, making it an ideal starting point for families and beginners alike. That leaves you with more time and energy for the trails and paths waiting for you up above.
