Schöneben AG is aware of the legal requirements in this area. Legislative Decree No. 231 of 8 June 2001 regulates the criminal liability of legal persons, companies and associations. The decree introduced criminal liability into Italian law for entities in whose interest or to whose advantage certain offences are committed by their executive bodies or employees subordinate to them. It thus makes it possible to hold corporations criminally liable if they have derived a direct or indirect advantage from the offence committed. This liability of the corporation is in addition to that of the natural person who committed the criminally relevant act.
